This policy explains what personal information Agyakoah Fabrics collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

Who we are

Agyakoah Fabrics, based in Accra, Ghana, is responsible for the personal information collected through this website and in our shop. You can reach us using the details at the end of this policy.

Information we collect

  • Contact details: your name, email address and phone number.
  • Delivery details: your address, region and any delivery notes.
  • Orders: the items you buy, amounts paid, discount codes used and your order history.
  • Account details: your sign-in details and wishlist, if you create an account. Passwords are stored in hashed form.
  • Reviews you submit about our fabrics.
  • Newsletter sign-ups: your email address.
  • Wholesale applications: your business name, contact details and any notes you share.
  • Messages you send us by WhatsApp or email.
  • Technical information: basic device and browser information, and error and performance diagnostics that help us keep the website working.

Payment information

Online payments are processed by Paystack. You enter your card or mobile money details on Paystack's secure payment page. We receive confirmation of the payment, its reference, the amount and the payment method type, but never your full card number or wallet PIN. Paystack handles your payment information under its own privacy policy.

How we use your information

  • To process, deliver and update you about your orders.
  • To answer your questions and provide customer support.
  • To manage your account, reviews and any wholesale application.
  • To verify payments and prevent fraud.
  • To remind you about a checkout you did not finish.
  • To send our newsletter, if you signed up. You can ask us to stop at any time.
  • To improve our website and the fabrics we stock.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed, with:

  • Paystack, to process payments.
  • Delivery riders and couriers, who receive your name, phone number and address to deliver your order.
  • Service providers who help us run the business, such as email delivery, website hosting, cloud storage and error monitoring. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and checkout details, and protect the website. Your browser's local storage keeps small preferences on your device, such as recent searches. We do not use advertising cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep order and payment records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting purposes. Account information is kept while your account is open. Newsletter details are kept until you ask us to stop. Other information is deleted or anonymised when we no longer need it.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you can:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information, where we do not need to keep it by law;
  • object to direct marketing or withdraw your consent at any time.

Security

Our website uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Access to customer information is limited to staff who need it, with role-based permissions and two-factor authentication for administrators. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and act quickly on any issue.

Children

Our website is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
